These terms are the rules for using Planet Mado (planetmado.com), a free, fan-made Dragon Ball Z role-playing game. By creating an account, playing as a guest, or otherwise using the game, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the game.
Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old to play or to create an account.
- If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
- One person per account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
A fan game
Planet Mado is a non-commercial fan project. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by the owners of Dragon Ball, Toei Animation, Shueisha, Bandai Namco or anyone connected to them. Dragon Ball names and characters belong to their owners. Cosmetic items bought with vote points have no real-world money value and can’t be exchanged for money.
Chat rules
Chat is shared with everyone in the game, players of all backgrounds. Trash talk about fights is part of the fun; hurting real people is not. Don’t post:
- Hate speech or slurs about anyone’s race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar.
- Sexual content of any kind.
- Threats against real people, harassment, bullying or stalking, in chat or anywhere else in the game.
- Encouraging self-harm or suicide.
- Talk that promotes illegal activity, or graphic real-world violence and gore.
- Spam, scams, or links meant to trick people.
- Other people’s personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, accounts elsewhere).
- Pretending to be staff.
The same rules apply to character names, usernames, descriptions and avatars.
How we moderate
- Every chat message and every new character name, username and description is checked automatically before it appears. A message that breaks the rules isn’t posted.
- Several blocked messages in a short time mute your account from chat for a while. Staff can also delete messages and mute accounts for longer, or permanently.
- Players can report messages to staff. Please report honestly; false or spam reports can lead to action against your account.
- We may change, rename or remove a character name, description or avatar that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or delete accounts that break them, especially for serious or repeated problems.
- Automatic checks aren’t perfect. If you think something was blocked or a mute was a mistake, message staff with /help in chat (this works even while muted) or email us.
Fair play
- Don’t use bots, scripts or automation to play, and don’t exploit bugs; report them instead.
- Don’t try to break into, overload or disrupt the game or other players’ accounts.
- Don’t create accounts to get around a mute or ban.
Accounts
- Guest characters expire after 72 hours unless you keep them by adding an email address and password.
- New accounts that are never played again after the first visit are removed after about a week.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
- Game data (characters, items, powerlevels) belongs to the game and may be changed, balanced, reset or removed as the game develops.
The game is provided as is
Planet Mado is a free hobby project provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, go offline, lose data or change at any time, and we may stop running it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage from using the game.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and big changes will be announced in the game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
